About the Role
We are seeking a CAD Designer to create accurate and detailed CAD models and drawings based on provided instructions, sketches, and layouts.
The CAD Designer will collaborate closely with engineers and other team members to develop high-quality models and drawings for various engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of drafting practices, attention to detail, and proficiency with CAD software.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate models and drawings using CAD software based on provided instructions, sketches, and layouts.
- Perform model and drawing changes and revisions as directed by engineers or project managers.
- Work under supervision and incorporate feedback from engineering and project teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.
- Follow established modeling and drafting practices and procedures.
- Produce clear, concise, and usable engineering models and drawings.
- Communicate effectively with engineers and other team members to understand project requirements, priorities, and timelines.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the drafting and modeling process.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Must Have
- Proficiency with CAD software.
- Basic understanding of engineering drafting practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to create and revise technical models and drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Technology, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, plus relevant experience; OR
- Completion of a related vocational/technical high school program.
- Relevant CAD/drafting experience.
- Ability to understand and follow technical instructions, sketches, layouts, and engineering requirements.
