Openwork is currently seeking an experienced and dependable Forklift Operator for an opportunity in La Porte, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse, supply, storage, and distribution operations and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This position involves inbound and outbound orders, inventory, storage, and accurately documenting packaged materials from the conveyor line.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift and support daily warehouse operations
- Handle inbound and outbound orders, inventory, and storage
- Move and document packaged materials from the conveyor line
- Follow specific dock and material-handling procedures with a high level of accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment
- Assist with general labor and other warehouse duties as needed
- Work independently with little or no supervision
- Provide professional and courteous customer service when needed
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors, including possible extreme weather conditions
- Valid/current driver's license required
- Must pass the client's Forklift Driver Exam – theory and hands-on practice
- Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be punctual and ready to work at the start of each shift
- Must be willing to work additional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to follow procedures, instructions, and safety requirements

- Schedule: Rotational 6:00 AM–6:00 PM
