We have partnered with a fast growing manufacturer for a skilled Drafter to join a growing metal fabrication team. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys turning designs into accurate, production-ready drawings and wants to play an important role from concept through fabrication.
Create detailed 2D and 3D shop, fabrication, and assembly drawings
Use AutoCAD and Revit to model aluminum components and assemblies
Develop cut lists, material take-offs, and BOMs
Read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings
Work closely with estimators, project managers, fabricators, and installers to solve design and constructability challenges
Revise drawings for change orders, field conditions, and engineering updates
Create clear, fabrication-ready drawing packages that reduce errors and rework
Help improve material usage through nesting and layout optimization
Maintain organized drawings and documentation
2+ years of drafting experience, ideally in metal fabrication, architectural metals, or a related industry
Strong Revit skills; AutoCAD experience preferred
Ability to read architectural and structural drawings
Understanding of fabrication processes such as cutting, bending, welding, machining, and finishing
Knowledge of GD&T and technical drawing principles
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
Good communication skills and the ability to work with both office and shop teams
