Job Overview:
Pay Range: $14.50hr - $19.50hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- 1+ years of forklift experience.
- 1+ years of warehouse experience.
- Prior forklift certification is preferred.
- Ability to count accurately when moving inventory.
- Ability to read scales.
- Ability to multi-task and detailed oriented.
- Being alert and aware when driving the forklift in a safe manner.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in tighter, confined spaces with a forklift.
- Pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings.
- Have reliable transportation to the site and be able to arrive at the work site as instructed.
- Maintain enthusiasm, good attitude, honesty and a willingness to treat all with respect.
- Over the ankle steel toe or composite toe boots are required.
Responsibilities:
- Professional, accident-free operation of the forklift, and the precise keeping of the forklift inspections.
- Systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forklift.
- Continuous tracking of the location of goods during material handling using WMS.
- Use the WMSystem accordingly and ensure accurate data entry.
- Perform any other manual job at the direction of the warehouse supervisor or team lead (e.g. sampling, inventory, cleaning).
- Keep the warehouse clean and tidy.
- During the seed delivery and return season: ensure proper (loading and unloading) of transport vehicles with quality packages to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain safety standards - initiate & follow emergency procedures when necessary.
- Operates fork lift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in warehouse area.
- Follows regulatory requirements.
- May use technology (PCs, scanners, etc.) to complete job tasks.
