We need a Process/Manufacturing engineer/ or a Supplier Quality Engineer- Thermoforming (Vacuum Forming) Expert and JD given below.
Commodity: Plastics - Thermoforming, Vacuum Forming.
Location: Supplier facility, Taylor, Michigan, USA
Duration: 1-3 months. May extend depending upon the quality issues.
- Automotive Interior and exterior parts experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in thermoforming/vacuum forming is required.
- Assess the existing thermoforming/vacuum forming process,
- Experience in tool try outs and problem-solving quality issues.
- Understand the inspection methods and parts qualifications.
- Identify root causes of quality issues such as thin spots, warping, poor surface finish, and dimensional variation.
- Optimize key process parameters, including sheet heating profile, vacuum pressure and timing, mold temperature, and cycle time.
