We are looking for a dependable, safety-minded, and customer-focused Class B CDL Delivery Driver to join our team and help carry that tradition forward.
What You’ll Do
- Safely operate a Class B commercial vehicle while making deliveries to local customers.
- Load, unload, and deliver fresh produce and other food products accurately and on schedule.
- Verify orders and delivery paperwork to ensure customers receive the correct products and quantities.
- Provide friendly, professional service and represent the company positively when interacting with customers.
- Follow all food-safety, product-handling, and delivery procedures to protect product quality.
- Complete driver logs, delivery paperwork, and other required records accurately and on time.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any safety or maintenance concerns.
- Follow all applicable DOT, state, and company driving and safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively with Dispatch, customers, and other team members to support smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical card.
- Applicants must have a safe and acceptable driving record with fewer than three points.
- Previous commercial delivery-driving experience is preferred.
- Ability to safely load, unload, lift, carry, and move product.
- Ability to operate a hand truck and other delivery equipment safely.
- Ability to work independently, follow assigned routes, and manage time effectively.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
- Previous experience working in a restaurant, foodservice operation, grocery environment, or food-distribution company.
- Familiarity with fresh produce, common foodservice products, product quality, or proper food-handling practices.
- Knowledge of Boston and the surrounding delivery area.
- Experience making multi-stop deliveries in urban areas.
