Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Welder to join their manufacturing team in Wilmington, DE. This position will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components used in the production of lighting products, while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and accuracy.
-Perform MIG, TIG, and/or other welding processes based on production requirements.
-Weld and fabricate metal components and assemblies according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
-Set up and operate welding equipment, tools, and related fabrication equipment.
-Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols.
-Inspect finished welds and fabricated components for quality, accuracy, and proper dimensions.
-Perform grinding, cutting, fitting, and other preparation work as needed.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
-Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
-Identify quality issues or equipment problems and communicate them to the appropriate supervisor.
-Work collaboratively with other members of the production team to meet daily production goals.
Requirements:
-Previous stainless steel welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
-Experience setting up and operating welding equipment.
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
-Ability to use basic measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
-Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
-Experience with metal fabrication is a plus.
-Welding certifications are preferred but not required.
