About the Position
Century Metals and Supplies is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A Driver to join our Orlando team. This is a local driving position with no overnight travel, allowing drivers to return home daily.
The driver will primarily operate a 26-foot flatbed straight truck, delivering metal products to customers throughout the Orlando/Central Florida area. This position requires regular tarping and securing of loads and is ideal for a driver who values a consistent Monday–Friday schedule and takes pride in providing safe, professional service to customers.
Additional Earning Opportunity: Drivers may earn additional cash each month through our skid return program by picking up eligible skids along their regular delivery routes. There is no set earning limit—the amount earned depends on the driver's participation and the number of skids collected.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Safely deliver metal products to customers throughout the local service area.
- Operate a 26-foot flatbed straight truck and other company delivery vehicles as assigned.
- Properly secure and tarp loads for each delivery.
- Inspect the vehicle and load before and during routes to ensure safe operation.
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules.
- Complete required driver logs, reports, and delivery documentation.
- Collect payments for COD orders when applicable.
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers.
- Promptly report vehicle malfunctions, damaged parts, accidents, or other safety concerns.
- Follow all applicable DOT regulations, company safety procedures, and established company policies.
- Perform the physical duties necessary to safely secure and tarp loads, including climbing, reaching, pulling, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission and have no automatic transmission restriction on CDL.
- Previous commercial driving experience.
- Flatbed driving experience preferred.
- Ability to safely secure and tarp loads.
- Acceptable driving record and ability to meet applicable DOT driver qualification requirements.
- Ability to safely lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to use GPS/navigation tools and follow assigned routes.
- Strong commitment to safety and dependable attendance.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.

- Occasional overtime may be available based on operational needs.
