About the Position
Our client is seeking experienced CDL A Drivers for local port and yard operations in the Signal Hill, California area. This on-site, dedicated position involves transporting and repositioning containers, chassis, and trailers between marine terminals and customer facilities. Drivers are home daily and supported by a dedicated TransForce team focused on safety, reliability, and driver support.
Pay & Schedule Details
- Pay Rate: $31 per hour
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Shift: Day shift, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Home Time: Home daily

Key Responsibilities
- Transport and reposition containers, chassis, and trailers between marine terminals and customer facilities.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Document equipment conditions accurately.
- Use technology for real-time tracking and communication regarding assignments and updates.
- Assist warehouse personnel with strategic trailer placement when needed.
- Complete all duties safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL driving experience.
- 6+ months of recent and verifiable port experience.
- Current DOT Medical Certificate.
- TWIC Card required, or ability to obtain immediately.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
- Must be at least 23 years old.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
