About the Position
TransForce is seeking a dependable CDL A Yard Driver for a local, on-site opportunity in Patterson, California. This role focuses primarily on yard operations, with occasional trailer shuttles to Modesto and locations throughout the Bay Area. The position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule and the potential to transition from temporary to permanent employment.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $26.76 per hour
- Estimated weekly gross: $1,350
- Hours per week: 40
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Shift: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Overtime: Approximately 1 to 2 hours per day, based on operational needs
- Employment type: Temp to perm

Job Details

- Move, spot, and position loaded and empty trailers throughout the yard and at dock doors.
- Shuttle trailers between the Patterson facility, a Modesto warehouse, and Bay Area locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a yard tractor and commercial vehicles safely within the facility and on public roadways when required.
- Couple and uncouple tractors and trailers.
- Chock trailers when positioned for loading or unloading.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
- Communicate with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and management.
- Follow facility safety procedures and DOT requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
- Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
