About the Position
Our client is seeking a CDL B Flatbed Driver for a local, on-site delivery position in Spokane, Washington. This role offers consistent Monday through Friday work, daily home time, and a combination of driving and warehouse responsibilities. You will operate a 26-foot flatbed delivery truck and make deliveries throughout the local area without overnight trips.
Pay & Schedule
- $27 per hour
- Estimated weekly gross pay of $1,100
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a one-hour unpaid lunch
- 40 hours per week
- Overtime may be available
- Local work with daily home time and no overnight trips
- Temp-to-perm employment opportunity
Job Details
- Route type: Local deliveries, with routes of up to four hours away
- Freight: Pipe, valves, ductile iron fittings, and related materials
- Equipment: 26-foot flatbed delivery truck and Ford F-250
- Handling: Heavy-touch work involving loading, staging, securing, unloading, and verifying materials
- Approximately 80% driving and 20% warehouse work
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a 26-foot flatbed delivery truck and Ford F-250 safely and professionally.
- Deliver materials to customers throughout the local service area.
- Load, stage, secure, unload, and verify delivery materials.
- Collect customer signatures and process returns.
- Pick up local purchase orders.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Report vehicle issues or defects promptly.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CDL B.
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate a sit-down forklift.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
