About the Position
Our client is seeking experienced CDL A Intermodal Drivers for local, no-touch container transport between rail yards and delivery locations. This long-term flexible assignment offers steady work, professional support, and opportunities to provide safe and reliable service to customers.
Pay & Schedule Details
- $38 per hour
- Additional $1 per hour with a Hazmat endorsement
- All straight-time pay; overtime is not included
- Approximately 40 hours per week
- Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday schedules available
- Start times may include 3:00 a.m., 5:00 a.m., or 5:00 p.m.
- Typical workdays are approximately 10-12 hours

Job Details

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A vehicle on local routes.
- Pick up and deliver containers at rail yards.
- Perform drop-and-hook operations and properly lock down containers.
- Transport freight safely, on time, and in accordance with DOT and FMCSA standards.
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork.
- Maintain open communication with dispatch and operations.
- Provide positive, safe, and professional customer service.
- Perform required handling and securement tasks.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL A intermodal driving experience.
- Hazmat endorsement required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
