About the Position
Our client is seeking a CDL A Driver for a long-term local delivery assignment in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This role involves delivering bread and bread products to grocery stores on a consistent route with approximately 6 to 7 stops per day.
Pay & Schedule
- $28 per hour
- Estimated weekly gross pay of $1,120
- 40 hours per week
- Workdays are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday
- Days off are Tuesday and Saturday
- Start time is 7:00 p.m.
- Typical shift length is 10 to 11 hours
- Local delivery work based in Kalamazoo, Michigan
- Long-term flex employment
Job Details

- Handling: Heavy-touch freight requiring dollies and hand unloading
- Routes may extend as far as Gaylord
- Some switching may be required
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver bread and bread products to grocery stores
- Complete approximately 6 to 7 stops per day
- Unload 4 to 8 dollies at each delivery using hand unloading
- Operate an automatic transmission truck safely and responsibly
- Complete assigned local routes, including travel as far as Gaylord when required
- Perform switching duties as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CDL A
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
