About the Position
Our client is seeking local CDL A delivery drivers to deliver food service orders throughout the Metro DC area and within a two-hour radius of Manassas. This direct-hire opportunity offers paid training, component-based pay after training, and the potential to earn up to $110,000 per year.
This is a physically demanding delivery position involving frequent stops, heavy products, and hands-on unloading. Experienced food service drivers may qualify for a retention bonus of up to $10,000.
Pay & Schedule Details
- $34.00 per hour during 3-4 weeks of training
- After training: Component pay based on stops, miles, and cases
- Daily minimum of $320
- Average annual earnings of up to $110,000
- Pay issued biweekly
- Retention bonus of $5,000-$10,000 for drivers with relevant food service experience, paid during the first year
- Monday through Saturday availability required
- Work 5-6 days per week, with Sundays always off
- Start times vary between 10:00 p.m. and 4:30 a.m.; full flexibility is required
- Routes are scheduled for 10.5 hours and may extend up to 14 hours when needed
- Source schedule indicates up to 70 hours per week
- Position is listed as 40 hours per week

Job Details

Key Responsibilities
- Operate a CDL A vehicle on local food service delivery routes
- Deliver orders to 10-15 stops per day
- Sort customer orders inside the trailer
- Unload and transport cases using a two-wheeled hand cart or pallet jack
- Move products into customer facilities safely and efficiently
- Handle products weighing up to 80+ pounds
- Maintain professional and dependable service at each delivery location
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CDL A
- 6+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL A driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record, with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Valid DOT medical card
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to perform physically demanding delivery work and handle products weighing up to 80+ pounds
- Manual transmission experience preferred
- Food delivery or other physically demanding delivery experience preferred
