About the Position
TransForce is seeking a dependable CDL B Driver for local delivery work in the Glen Burnie area. In this role, you will deliver produce, paper goods, and appliances while providing safe and reliable customer service. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with consistent support from a dedicated team.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay rate: $24.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Start time: Between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
- Hours per week: 40
- Employment type: Temp to perm
Job Details
- Route type: Local deliveries
- Service area: Primarily the local DMV area
- Freight: Produce, paper goods, and appliances
- Equipment: Pallet jacks and handcarts
- Handling: Heavy-touch deliveries requiring the safe lifting and movement of heavy items
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle while completing local deliveries
- Deliver produce, paper goods, and appliances to customers
- Load, unload, and move freight using pallet jacks and handcarts
- Handle heavy items safely and efficiently
- Provide professional and dependable service at each delivery location
- Follow all applicable transportation and safety regulations
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CDL Class B
- 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to safely lift and move heavy items
