Marine Welder / Pipe Fitter
Marine Welders and Pipe Fitters perform structural and pipe welding on vessels, barges, and marine structures while following ABS, OSHA, USCG, and company safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding on carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
- Fit, install, and weld pipe systems and structural components
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld procedures, and ABS/USCG specifications
- Work in dry docks, onboard vessels, and shop environments
- Maintain safe, clean, and compliant work areas
Requirements:
- ABS welding certification preferred; candidates without ABS certification must be willing and able to obtain certification
- Coast Guard welding certifications are a plus
- Ability to successfully pass a weld test
- Shipyard, marine, or heavy industrial welding experience
- Experience with pipe fitting and/or pipe welding preferred
- TWIC preferred
- Ability to follow ABS, USCG, OSHA, and company requirements
