Litigation Paralegal - Business, Labor & EmploymentLocation: Irvine, CA
Schedule: Primarily onsite (4 days/week after first 90 days)
Work Week: 37.5 hours
Compensation: $75,000 - $103,000 DOEOverviewA mid-to-large sized law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support complex litigation matters, including business and labor & employment cases. This role requires strong experience in both state and federal court procedures, as well as the ability to manage case workflows in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities- Draft and prepare legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery, and pleadings
- File and serve documents in state and federal courts (CM/ECF, File & Serve)
- Conduct legal research to support litigation strategy
- Support eDiscovery processes, including document review, coding, productions, and database management (Relativity)
- Assist attorneys with depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
- Manage case files, including organization of pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
- Track deadlines and maintain case calendars
- Prepare binders and materials for hearings and trial
- Proofread and cite-check legal documents for accuracy and compliance
- Communicate with clients and counsel regarding case updates
Requirements- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred
- 5-15 years of litigation paralegal experience in a mid- or large-sized law firm
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures and rules of evidence
- Experience with CM/ECF, Relativity, and legal research platforms (LexisNexis, Westlaw) required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
