Compensation: $65,000-$78,000 annually

Position OverviewOur client is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their growing payroll team. This role will be responsible for processing high-volume, multi-state payroll while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional support for employees. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and takes pride in delivering accurate payroll services.
Key Responsibilities- Process weekly payroll for approximately 1,300 employees across multiple states.
- Audit and verify payroll data, timekeeping records, and employee information for accuracy.
- Support payroll operations involving multiple collective bargaining agreements and union payroll requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll inquiries.
- Generate payroll reports and assist with payroll audits and compliance reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information.
- Partner with payroll leadership to meet weekly deadlines and support continuous process improvements.
Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience.
- Experience processing high-volume, multi-state payroll.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience processing union payroll.
- Experience working with Dayforce or similar payroll systems.
- 5+ years of payroll or related accounting experience.
