At Eakas, we believe protecting our environment is just as important as protecting our people. We are seeking a passionate and driven Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager who will champion environmental stewardship while ensuring a safe, compliant, and sustainable workplace.
This role is ideal for someone who is energized by reducing environmental impact, improving sustainability initiatives, and building a culture where safety and environmental responsibility are embedded in everything we do.
Environmental Leadership
- Lead and manage environmental compliance programs across multiple manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Develop strategies to reduce waste generation, emissions, energy consumption, and environmental footprint.
- Oversee hazardous waste management, recycling programs, and sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor environmental metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Partner with operations teams to implement environmentally responsible manufacturing practices.
- Support environmental audits, reporting requirements, permit management, and regulatory inspections.
- Drive employee awareness and engagement in sustainability and conservation efforts.
Safety & Health Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve workplace safety programs and policies.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Investigate incidents and develop corrective actions.
- Coordinate safety training and employee education programs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable workplace safety regulations.
- Promote a culture where every employee takes ownership of safety.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field preferred.
- Experience in environmental compliance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
- Experience managing environmental permits, waste streams, and sustainability programs.
- Demonstrated success improving environmental performance and compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
