Shop Welder
We are looking for an experienced Shop Welder to join our team. This is an indoor shop position focused on MIG welding and steel fabrication primarily for metal railings.
Starting Pay: $24–$29 per hour, depending on experience and welding ability
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 AM–2:15 PM
Pay Period: Bi-weekly
Work Environment: Indoor fabrication shop
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on structural steel and fabricated components.
- Read and understand shop drawings and welding details.
- Set up and operate welding equipment properly.
- Weld parts and assemblies according to project specifications.
- Use grinders, saws, and other shop tools safely.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety requirements.
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules.
Requirements
- Previous welding experience required.
- Strong MIG welding experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings / welding symbols.
- AWS or other welding certifications preferred.
- Ability to safely operate welding equipment and common shop tools.
- Must be dependable and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform physical labor, including lifting and moving steel.
- Ability to drive a forklift preferred.
Welding Test
Applicants will be required to complete a welding test during the interview. The test will be used to evaluate welding ability, weld quality, efficiency, and ability to work safely.
