Electromechanical Assembler
Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Electromechanical Assembler to build and assemble mechanical and electrical components using hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and wiring techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience working from drawings or assembly instructions and preferably understands electrical symbols and schematics on engineering plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components according to drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, crimpers, and other assembly equipment.
- Install, route, terminate, and connect electrical cables and wiring.
- Read and follow assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Identify and understand common electrical symbols and components shown on plans.
- Measure, cut, strip, crimp, and connect wires and cables as required.
- Properly torque fasteners and electrical connections to specified requirements.
- Install brackets, panels, hardware, connectors, terminals, and other components.
- Inspect completed assemblies for proper fit, wiring, workmanship, and functionality.
- Perform basic continuity and quality checks on completed assemblies.
- Troubleshoot assembly or wiring issues and make necessary corrections.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and production quality standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, or manufacturing assembly preferred.
- Experience using power tools, hand tools, and torque wrenches.
- Ability to work with electrical wiring, cables, connectors, and components.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
- Understanding of electrical symbols and schematics is strongly preferred.
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to measure accurately and follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to lift, stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive assembly tasks as required.
