The Parallel Lumber Group is seeking a full-time, skilled Industrial Electrician who has preferably completed a certified apprenticeship, to join our wood manufacturing operations team in Alabama. The successful candidate will perform various tasks related to the electrical trade for the safe maintenance, repair, installation, and modification of sawmill and/or fingerjoint mill equipment to ensure maximization of uptime, quality, and production. Must be willing and able to travel for work; relocation and travel costs will be covered. Wages are competitive and negotiable. We offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Duties and Requirements:
· Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical equipment and machinery
· Execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs for electrical systems
· Participate in failure analysis, programming of PLC’s (primarily Allen Bradley Controllogix)
· Above average ability to repair and tune electrical equipment and maintain the required histories
Required: minimum of 4 years' electrical maintenance experience primarily in a lumber manufacturing facility
· Commitment to safety without compromise
· Strong analytical skills
· Trouble-shoot, install, and repair electrical systems, devices, and various electronic components used with industrial fingerjointing machinery
Skills and Attributes:
· Power distribution and motor control systems (up to 480 Volt),
· Proven ability to program and troubleshoot Controllogix PLCs
· Experience with scanners/optimizers is a strong asset
· Experience installing and setting up VFD’s for process control
· Knowledge of Moisture Meter function and verification
· Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
· Have a positive outlook on technological change
· Able to communicate effectively with all departments and team
· Layout, bend and install conduit of assorted sizes
· Provide own personal hand tools for the trade; the company will provide specialty tools
· Basic computer skills required utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word
· Willingness to work any shift and assume other duties as assigned
