We’re hiring an Assembly Technician – Brazing for an evaluation-hire opportunity in South Windsor, CT. You’ll work three 12-hour shifts each week, giving you four days off to enjoy your time outside of work.
In this hands-on role, you’ll assemble precision components, perform brazing operations, use tools and measuring equipment, and help produce high-quality finished products. If you have experience with brazing, soldering, welding, mechanical assembly, or manufacturing, this is an opportunity to put those skills to work and continue developing them.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $22–$27/hour, depending on experience
- Schedule: Friday–Sunday
- Shift: 12-hour shifts
- Shift options: 1st or 3rd shift

What You’ll Do
As an Assembly Technician – Brazing, you’ll be responsible for assembling components and performing brazing operations according to established specifications and quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing brazing and assembly operations according to work instructions, drawings, and specifications
- Preparing, positioning, aligning, and fitting components before brazing
- Operating brazing equipment, torches, fixtures, and related hand tools
- Inspecting completed assemblies for proper fit, appearance, and workmanship
- Measuring components using basic precision measuring tools as required
- Identifying defects, inconsistencies, or quality issues and reporting them appropriately
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Following company safety, quality, and production procedures
- Completing production documentation and inspection records accurately
- Assisting with other assembly, fabrication, or manufacturing tasks as needed
What You Bring
You’re someone who enjoys working with your hands, learning how things fit together, and taking pride in producing quality work.
Qualifications:
- Previous brazing, soldering, welding, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools
- Ability to read and follow basic drawings, work instructions, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive assembly tasks
- Ability to safely handle materials, tools, and equipment
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Preferred Experience
- Torch brazing or silver brazing experience
- Experience working with copper, brass, steel, aluminum, or similar materials
- Manufacturing or production assembly experience
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or other measuring equipment
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or quality-control practices
