After-Hours Plumbing & Sewer Technician
We are hiring an experienced Plumbing and Sewer Technician to handle after-hours service calls, plumbing emergencies, and drain/sewer problems. This position is designed for someone who prefers evenings, weekends, and holiday work.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to after-hours and emergency plumbing calls
- Diagnose and repair residential plumbing problems
- Clear clogged drains and sewer lines
- Perform sewer and drain inspections
- Explain findings and repair options clearly to customers
- Collect payment and document completed work
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service van
- Provide dependable, professional service during evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications
- Plumbing, drain-cleaning, or sewer-service experience preferred
- Ability to diagnose plumbing and drain problems independently
- Comfortable working without direct supervision
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Able to lift and operate drain-cleaning equipment
- Available for evenings, overnight emergencies, weekends, and holidays
- Must be dependable and able to respond promptly when dispatched
- Plumbing license or applicable certifications are a plus but not required for every candidate
Schedule
This is primarily an after-hours position and includes:
- Evening and overnight emergency calls
- Weekend coverage
- Holiday coverage
- Rotating or scheduled on-call shifts, depending on staffing
Applicants should understand that emergency-call volume can vary. Some shifts may be quiet, while others may require multiple service calls.
