We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Electrical Service Manager to lead and oversee our Service Crew. This role is essential in ensuring that electrical systems are designed, installed, and maintained in accordance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Manage project teams including electricians, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless communication and collaboration throughout all project phases.
- Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to verify compliance with electrical codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 standards.
- Oversee the permitting process by preparing documentation and coordinating with local authorities to secure necessary approvals.
- Utilize project management software such as ProCore to develop schedules, track progress, and control costs effectively.
- Conduct construction site inspections to ensure safety protocols are followed and work is performed according to design specifications.
- Review construction estimates with our Estimator to accurately forecast costs and manage project budgets.
- Lead construction schedule coordination efforts to align electrical work with overall project timelines while managing risks proactively.
- Ensure all electrical systems are designed in compliance with electrical building codes and schematics are accurately interpreted for installation.
- Manage contract negotiations, change orders, and project documentation to maintain clarity and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills
- Extensive experience with electrical field. (minimum 15 years)
- Proficiency in project management software including ProCore and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Must be able to send emails.
- Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, electrical building codes, and permitting phases involved in construction projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage 1-2 crews from initial planning through commissioning while maintaining safety standards.
- Skilled in construction cost management, scheduling coordination, and project budget oversight.
- Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing diverse teams on construction sites; excellent time management skills.
- Ability to review construction drawings thoroughly and ensure compliance with schematics and technical specifications.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating between clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Deep understanding of electrical systems design including schematics development and system integration within building infrastructure.
