Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metals as required.
- Weld fabricated components and assemblies according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Set up welding machines and select appropriate settings for each job.
- Read and interpret welding symbols, shop drawings, and work instructions.
- Inspect welds for quality, strength, and appearance.
- Use grinders, saws, drills, and other fabrication equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate dimensions and tolerances throughout the fabrication process.
- Perform basic fit-up, grinding, and material preparation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous MIG welding experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and welding symbols.
- Experience with weld fit-up and fabrication is a plus.
- Ability to use tape measures, squares, calipers, and other measuring tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Welding certification is a plus but not required.
