Founded in 1981, Electrical Contractors, Inc. has been proudly serving Carbon County and surrounding areas for over four decades. We specialize in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work, and we’re growing fast. We’re looking for an Apprentice Electrician to join our team and grow with us.
What You’ll Do:
As an Apprentice Electrician, you’ll work side-by-side with experienced Journeymen. You’ll get hands-on training, learn the trade from the ground up, and build a solid foundation for a future as a Journeyman yourself. This isn’t just a job; it’s a career path.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Showing up on time, ready to learn, and taking initiative
- Following instructions and asking the right questions
- Performing general electrical maintenance
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining wiring, lighting, and control systems
- Reading blueprints and learning to interpret electrical schematics
- Preparing and assembling conduit and running wiring through it
- Inspecting components like transformers and circuit breakers
- Replacing or repairing wiring, fixtures, and electrical equipment
- Testing systems to make sure everything runs safely and correctly
- Troubleshooting electrical issues alongside Journeymen
- Ordering replacement parts or equipment when needed
- Adhering to the National Electrical Code and local building regulations
- Maintaining clear, professional communication with clients
- Collaborating with construction workers, plumbers, and other trades
- Being available for irregular hours or overtime when required
What We’re Looking For:
- Active Utah Apprentice Electrician License, or ability to obtain one
- One year of electrical experience is a plus—but not required
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong work ethic and a teachable attitude
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to travel and work overtime when necessary
Schedule:
- Full-time
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (4/10s schedule)
