We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient pediatric care team. This role involves providing comprehensive healthcare services to pediatric patients in a clinic setting, working independently with a focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing common pediatric conditions, as well as knowing when to refer patients for higher levels of care. The position offers evening hours from Monday to Friday, 5 pm to 8 pm, providing flexibility and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments across all pediatric age groups
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications safely and effectively
- Educate families on health management and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in pediatric care and patient assessment
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Expertise in medication management
- Strong health education and communication skills
- Demonstrated empathy and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner with a focus on pediatrics or outpatient care preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining excellent clinical judgment.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric health issues, developmental milestones, and common childhood conditions.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children and their families.
- Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or equivalent licensure required.
- Prior experience working evening hours or flexible schedules is advantageous.
