Job Summary:
Help minimize the risk of job-related accidents of all employees with a focus on safety. Monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities. Enforces policies to promote occupational health and safety (CalOSHA) awareness.
Job Duties:
• Visits multiple jobsites per shift.
• Conducts safety inspections and fills reports for each job site visit.
• Conducts vehicle safety inspections.
• Conduct safety ride-a-longs with employee drivers
• Enforces safety policy and reports all safety violations to supervisor.
• Promotes a "Safety First" culture throughout company
Skills, Knowledge and Ability:
• Ability to handle a high volume of work in a timely and efficient manner with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Expert in Cal OSHA regulations.
• Understands the scope of work involving demolition, including interior demo, hard demo, saw cutting, and concrete coring.
• Comprehends all project specifications, scope limits, and project constraints
• Ability to interact with clients, employees and vendors in a professional manner.
• Ability to travel to various job sites.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, employees, and management.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills both internally and externally.
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast- paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
• Professional decorum and business maturity required.
• Ability to successfully serve as a member of a team.
• Position may require overtime with little or no advance notice given.
• Must possess strong work ethics. Able to multi-task.
• Must be well organized and a self- starter.
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable, strong organizational and time management skills.
Physical Activities:
Manual Dexterity – The ability to quickly move hands and arms to grasp manipulate, or assemble objects.
Extent Flexibility – The ability to repeatedly bend, stretch, twist, or reach with the body, arms, and/or legs.
Static Strength – The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50#.
Trunk Strength – The ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without “giving out” or fatiguing.
Dynamic Strength – The ability to exert muscle force repeatedly or continuously over time. This involves muscular endurance and resistance to muscle fatigue.
Explosive Strength – The ability to use short bursts of muscle force to throw an object.
Eye Strength – Able to see within normal range or maintain good vision using corrective lenses.
Stamina – The ability to exert oneself physically over long periods.
Job Conditions:
• Project site, corporate office, home office. Strong mobile office skills and equipment required.
