Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Oregon electrician who is also comfortable performing general facilities maintenance and service work. This is not an electrician-only position.
Approximately 20–30% of the service work is electrical. When electrical calls are not available, this technician will support general commercial facility maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and service calls.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, jack-of-all-trades technician who has strong electrical experience but is willing to jump in wherever needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform commercial electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and installations.
- Complete electrical work requiring a licensed electrician.
- Perform preventive maintenance and general facility repairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building-related issues.
- Complete basic plumbing and general handyman repairs.
- Respond to mobile service calls throughout the assigned territory.
- Diagnose issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Document completed service work and communicate repair recommendations.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, customer service, and quality workmanship.
Required Qualifications
- Active Oregon electrical license/certification required.
- Oregon General Journeyman Electrician (J) license strongly preferred.
- Ability to legally perform required electrical work in Oregon.
- Commercial electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Willingness to perform facility maintenance and non-electrical service work.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed in both Oregon and Washington is a plus!
- Previous facilities maintenance or field service experience.
- Experience with basic plumbing, mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, or general building maintenance.
- Experience servicing commercial or multi-location customers.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who takes pride in being able to diagnose a problem, find a solution, and get the job done.
You do not need to be an expert in every trade. If you already have the required electrical license and bring a strong service mindset, willingness to learn, and a go-getter attitude, additional facility maintenance skills can be developed.
