WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join an outpatient surgical team. This position is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery environment and is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care throughout the surgical process.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- 4 Days per Week
- Monday–Friday
- 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- No nights, weekends, or major holidays
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a state-of-the-art orthopedic surgery center.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients.
- Prepare patients for operative procedures and provide preoperative education.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and fellow nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients and families regarding postoperative instructions and recovery expectations.
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Active Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required.
- Previous experience in Orthopedics, Operating Room, PACU, Ambulatory Surgery, Surgical Services, or Acute Care preferred.
- Current BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, patient-focused surgical environment.
