What You’ll Do
- Electrical Execution: Wire AC/DC solar systems, set up string and microinverters, integrate battery storage (Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, etc.), and perform main panel upgrades (MPUs).
- System Commissioning: Inspect, test, voltage-check, and commission PV systems to ensure code-compliant grid interconnection.
- Code & Safety: Ensure all installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local AHJ regulations, and company safety standards.
- Inspection Management: Lead on-site city, county, and utility electrical inspections to secure immediate sign-offs.
- Crew Leadership: Supervise electrical apprentices, review blueprints, and troubleshoot complex field issues.
What You Need
- Experience: 3+ years of electrical experience (solar-specific or residential service work preferred).
- Technical Mastery: Expertise in conduit bending, service panel tie-ins, and NEC Article 690/705 knowledge.
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license and the physical ability to work outdoors, climb ladders, and carry equipment up to 50 lbs
