Whitecap Search Healthcare Partners is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to provide essential medical care within a medium-security male correctional facility in Rome, NY. This role requires strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a secure environment.
Job Functions:- Shift & Hours: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 06:00)
- Conduct sick call and triage medical complaints
- Administer medications, including insulin
- Perform wound care and manage peripheral lines
- Respond to emergencies (Narcan administration, asthma rescue, physical force injuries, etc.)
- Manage tool control and maintain safety protocols
- Provide care for employee injuries and accidents
- Complete screening, reporting, and documentation requirements
- Coordinate emergency room transfers when necessary
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment discussions
- Support infection control and isolation precautions
Job Requirements:- Completion of state-approved LPN program
- Current LPN license for the state that you are working in (or willingness to obtain)
- 2 years of LPN experience is required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
