CDL A Driver - Yard Driver - $26.76 Per Hour - Est. $1,350 Per Week - Patterson, CA Job Details This CDL A Yard Driver role is based in Patterson, CA and pays $26.76 per hour. The work combines yard driving with occasional trailer shuttles to Modesto and locations throughout the Bay Area. This TransForce driving opportunity offers a local Monday through Friday schedule with consistent support during the assignment.
This role requires a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card in addition to relevant experience and a Class A CDL.
Pay & Schedule - Pay: $26.76 per hour
- Estimated weekly gross: $1,350
- Location: Patterson, CA
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Shift: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Overtime: Approximately 1 to 2 hours per day, depending on operational needs
What You'll Be Doing - Move, spot, and position loaded and empty trailers throughout the yard and at dock doors.
- Operate a yard tractor and commercial vehicles safely within the facility and on public roadways when required.
- Couple and uncouple tractors and trailers, and chock trailers when positioned for loading or unloading.
- Shuttle trailers between the Patterson facility, a Modesto warehouse, and Bay Area locations as needed.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
- Communicate with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and management while following facility and DOT safety requirements.
What You Need - Valid CDL A
- 9+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL driving experience.
- Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
