Position Summary
We are looking for a reliable, motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our growing team. In this role, you will work alongside our experienced licensed technicians and job leads, gaining hands-on experience across a wide variety of residential and commercial projects.
This is an excellent entry-level or early-career opportunity for someone who takes pride in clean, code-compliant work, possesses a strong work ethic, and is eager to develop into a skilled journeyman electrician.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting Leads: Assist lead electricians with installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Rough-In & Wire Pulling: Help measure, cut, bend, and install conduit; assist with pulling wire through conduits, walls, and structures.
- Device Installation: Assist in mounting boxes, wiring switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, EV charging stations, and breaker panels.
- Site Preparation & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site; load/unload tools, materials, and equipment.
- Code & Safety Compliance: Follow local electrical codes, OSHA guidelines, and company safety procedures at all times.
- Customer Interaction: Present a clean, professional, and respectful demeanor when working on-site in customer homes and businesses.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in electrical work, construction, or completion of trade school coursework is a plus (but willing to train the right candidate).
- Tools & Aptitude: Basic hand tool knowledge (pliers, wire strippers, tape measure) and a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in tight spaces (crawl spaces, attics), and stand or kneel for extended periods.
- Dependability: Strong work ethic, punctual, and reliable with a willingness to learn and take direction.
- Valid Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to job sites or the shop in Lenexa, KS.
