About the Position
LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Vascular Surgery NP in Missouri!
Our client is actively seeking a skilled Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 27-day assignment in Missouri, commencing Sep 8, 2026. This role involves comprehensive OR and clinic responsibilities, including shifts from 0600-1830 and some weekend solo coverage. The successful candidate will focus on endovascular vein harvesting, assisting in ECMO cannulations, and managing pre/post-operative care for diverse cardiac surgery cases.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive care in both OR and clinic settings, including 4-hour clinic sessions daily.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH), with a target vein harvest time of 45-60 minutes.
- Assist in ECMO cannulations.
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including documentation.
- Participate in a range of cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases such as CABG, Aortic dissection, and Impella placement and removal.
- Consult with 4-9 patients per day in the clinic.
- Provide solo coverage on weekends, with an attending physician available for support.
Additional Information
- Required Board Certification: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC)
- EMR System: Epic
- Candidates must demonstrate strong proficiency in Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH) and provide robust case logs.
- Radial harvest experience is preferred.
