About the Position
LocumJobsOnline is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Emergency Medicine MD in Farmington, New Mexico, 87402!
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for an 8-day assignment in New Mexico, starting Oct 1, 2026. This role involves managing trauma and a diverse array of acute conditions, including infections, injuries, and critical cardiac or stroke cases, alongside responding to codes within an attached inpatient unit during 7 AM to 7 PM shifts.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage trauma cases.
- Evaluate and treat conditions such as UTIs, abdominal pain, colds, flu, COVID-19, ear infections, sore throats, sports injuries, broken bones, and provide stitches.
- Address emergent conditions including chest pain, heart attacks, and strokes, utilizing tele-monitoring cardiologists and facilitating transfers for complex cases.
- Utilize on-site X-ray and laboratory services for diagnostics.
- Collaborate effectively with the contracted ambulance company.
- Respond promptly to codes within the inpatient unit.
