What You ll Do
As a Veterinary Technician - Anesthesia at Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital, you ll be responsible for providing safe and effective anesthesia services to a diverse array of patients. In this role, you will:
- Plan and prepare individualized anesthesia protocols in collaboration with a veterinary anesthesiologist and other specialists.
- Administer and monitor anesthesia, using advanced equipment to track vital signs, depth of anesthesia, and patient comfort.
- Assist during surgical and diagnostic procedures, anticipating the needs of the veterinary team and adapting to rapid changes in patient status.
- Manage perioperative pain control, administering medications and monitoring pain levels to ensure patient comfort.
- Help maintain accurate records of anesthesia protocols, drug usage, and patient responses to ensure consistent and informed care.
- Maintain a calm, organized workspace, ensuring quick access to necessary supplies and troubleshooting equipment as needed.
- Engage in continuing education and case discussions, keeping abreast of the latest anesthesia protocols, monitoring techniques, and best practices.

- $22-26/hour, commensurate with experience and licensure

What We re Looking For

- CVT/LVT/RVT licensure preferred
