REQUIRED PROCEDURES
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) or board certified in another ABMS specialty with 5+ years high-volume ED experience
- Licenses: Active Indiana medical license, IN Controlled Substance license, DEA with IN address and schedules II-IV
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA with Indiana address and schedules II-IV; IN Controlled Substance license required
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Experience: EM residency graduates within 12 months acceptable; otherwise 5+ years continuous full-time experience in high-volume ED (>30,000 visits/year)
- Other Qualifications: Case logs for past 2 years; CME attestation required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ED
- Perform moderate sedation and other emergency procedures as required
- Supervise and collaborate with NP/PA providers
- Coordinate with specialty consultants for ENT, orthopedics, GYN, etc.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies
