Job Description
Specialty:Board Certified Interventional Radiologist (2 needs)
Client: VAMC
Location: San Antonio, TX
Schedule/Shifts Times: Mon – Fri (7am – 4pm)
Call Requirements: will share in call rotation 1:2
% inpatient / % outpatient: Primarily inpatient hospital-based with procedural focus
Patient Volume: 6-8 procedures per day avg
Patient Ages: Adults only
Types of Cases: Full spectrum Interventional Radiology procedures including:
- Biopsies (lung, liver, bone, soft tissue)
- Drain placements (abscess, biliary, nephrostomy)
- Vascular access & catheter placements
- Angioplasty, embolization, thrombectomy
- Dialysis interventions
- GI and hepatobiliary procedures
Support Staff: Additional Radiologist, RN support, admin support
Procedures Required:
- Vascular & Endovascular
- Embolization
- Transcatheter & Image-Guided Interventions
- Biopsies
- Drainage & Fluid Management
- GI / Hepatobiliary Interventions
- Renal & Urologic IR
- Pulmonary / Pleural
- Specialty / Advanced Techniques
Type of Charting: EMR - CPRS
Requirements: Board Certified in Interventional Radiology, BLS, ACLS, DEA, Any State License
