Job Description
ECU Health Roanoke Chowan Hospital located in Ahoskie, NC, is seeking a Board-Certified General Surgeon to work on a PSA to provide PRN coverage for their surgical practice. New providers need to come in day before first shift or morning of first shift.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Inpatient Only
- Call, Nights & Weekends
- Not required to remain on-site while on call
- Average number of patients per day per provider: 7-8
- Average number of admissions per day: 1-2
- Average number of admissions per night: 1-2
- Number of surgical cases per month: 50
- Provider will not respond to codes
- Provider will not serve as back up in the ER
- Procedures Required: Appendectomy, strangulated hernias, cholecystectomy, I&Ds, procedures that will be emergencies
