About the Position We are seeking a dependable CDL A Flatbed Driver for a local route in Des Moines, Iowa. This position offers $28 per hour, first-shift scheduling, and light-touch freight handling.
Pay & Schedule Details - Pay: $28 per hour
- Schedule: First shift. Monday-Friday starting between 5:30- 6 a.m.
- Hours per day vary from 6-11 hours a day
Job Details - Route type: Local. Multiple stops in Des Moines, IA, and North West IA
- Freight: Flatbed freight, hauling steel beams and pipes
- Equipment: Flatbed truck
- Handling: Light touch
Key Responsibilities - Operate a CDL A flatbed truck safely and professionally.
- Complete local transportation assignments during first-shift hours.
- Handle flatbed freight using light-touch procedures.
- Inspect and operate equipment in accordance with applicable safety standards.
- Maintain accurate delivery and transportation records.
Minimum Requirements - 9+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
