CDL Class A Local Delivery Driver - Hanover, MD
We're looking for a CDL Class A Driver to join our team in Hanover, MD. This is a local, home-daily position offering consistent hours, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work with a respected transportation leader.
Pay & Schedule:
- $29.36 per hour
- Sunday through Friday
- Dispatch times between 8:00 PM and 1:00 AM
- Shifts typically 8-10 hours
- Average 40-45 hours per week
- Overtime required as business needs dictate
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely operate an automatic transmission Class A tractor on local delivery routes.
- Complete 2-3 deliveries per shift to customer locations.
- Perform minimal touch freight using an electric pallet jack (EPJ), with occasional down-stacking when required.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete all required DOT paperwork.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation.
- Provide professional, courteous customer service while ensuring safe and timely deliveries.
- Follow all DOT regulations and safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Minimum 1 year of Class A driving experience operating similar equipment within the last 5 years
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible overnight schedule and overtime as needed
