VCA Midwest Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center is expanding our Neurology service.
As a Neurology Veterinary Technician,you’llbe an essential part of our specialized team, working closely with our Neurologist to deliver outstanding care to patients with complex neurological conditions.
Schedule: Full-time, 4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday.
Compensation: $26–$30/hr. The starting pay is based on licensure, skill set, and years of experience.
As a member of our Neurology team, the skills that will beutilizedinclude, but are not limited to:
Assistin neurological examinations and diagnostic procedures such as MRI, CT, myelograms, and CSF taps.
Monitor and adjust anesthesia levels during surgeries, ensuring the safety and well-being of the patients (heart rate, respiratory rate, end-tidal/inspired CO2, pulse oximetry, blood pressure, body temperature, basic ECG tracings).
Provide pre-operative patient assessments, IVC, administer medications as directed, intubation, andassistin post-operative recovery and care.
