The CDL Driver will be responsible for safely operating Class B trucks to transport trash and recyclable materials on local routes typically under 100 miles. This role involves regular vehicle inspections, efficient route navigation using GPS and manual logs, interacting courteously with customers, and adhering strictly to schedules without overnight travel.
Responsibilities
- Operate Class B trucks to collect trash and recycle materials
- Inspect vehicle and loads to ensure safety and compliance
- Navigate local routes using GPS navigation systems and maintain manual paper logs
- Engage professionally with customers during pickups
- Manage fuel efficiently to optimize route performance
- Report accidents or incidents promptly and accurately
- Adhere to scheduled routes and maintain timely service
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of commercial driving experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
