Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class A Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate MUST HAVE ROLL OFF EXPERIENCE. Candidate must be familiar with operating various types of trucks, including roll-off trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently, delivering materials and equipment to & from job sites, while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Must know how to load & unload flatbeds. Must be able to work independently. NCCCO Crane Certification is a plus, but not required. This position involves a combination of commercial driving duties and yard or warehouse labor. Therefore candidate must be able to lift 80 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive various types of trucks, including roll-off trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers.
- Transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner while ensuring the safety of the load.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
- Loading and unloading freight as needed, utilizing forklifts or other equipment when necessary.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Other job duties will include warehouse or yard operations, lifting 80 lbs. or more.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated.
- Proven Roll Off Truck Experience
- Familiarity with different types of trucks such as roll-off trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading freight is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with dispatchers and customers.
