We are a family owned trucking company seeking a highly experienced, safety minded Box Truck Driver to join our team at Invio Logistics, LLC, based out of Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will operate a 26ft box truck for over the road (OTR) freight transport. This position offers a highly competitive 25% commission per load along with reliable weekly home time.

Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles, including those with manual transmissions, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight efficiently using proper techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Drive assigned routes confidently, managing delivery schedules to meet deadlines while maintaining safety at all times
- Handle various types of trailers, including refrigerated trailers for temperature-sensitive cargo, flatbeds for large or irregular loads, tankers for liquid freight, and dump trucks or roll-off trucks for specialized deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition, report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and route records to ensure accountability and traceability
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise during transit
Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (26ft box truck) across regional and national OTR routes.
- Commit to a consistent 5 day work schedule each week.
- Manage OTR routing efficiently while ensuring on-time delivery and secure transit of cargo.
- Perform physical labor by handling and lifting freight weighing over 50 lbs.
- Utilize smart devices to log trips, manage routing apps, and communicate with dispatch.
- Pass a practical driving test prior to official onboarding.
Driver Requirements
- Citizenship: Must be a United States Citizen.
- Age: Must be at least 23 years old.
- Language: Must speak fluent English.
- License: Must hold and provide a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of verifiable Commercial Driving Experience (tractor or straight box truck).
- Driving Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no accidents, tickets, or moving violations within the last 3 years.
- Health & Safety: Must provide a current Medical Certificate.
- Background: Clean background (no felonies) and must pass a Background Check and Drug Test.
Compensation, Availability & Home Time
- Pay Rate: 25% commission on each load.
- Pay Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
- Full-Time Schedule: Required to work 5 days per week on the road.
- Home Time: Enjoy guaranteed weekly home time to rest and reset.
- Location: Based out of Charlotte, NC.
Health, Safety & COVID-19 Disclosures
- Sanitization: Trucks are deep-cleaned and sanitized between driver shifts.
- Supplies: Personal protective equipment (PPE) and personal sanitizing wipes are provided in vehicles.
- Compliance: Drivers must follow local and customer-specific health guidelines at delivery sites.
- Physical Health: Drivers must maintain an active DOT Medical Certificate to ensure fitness for duty.
