Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Orangeburg, SC. Provide coordinated, patient-centered care in a home health environment to individuals of all ages. Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care to help patients develop, regain, or maintain daily activities and independence. Evaluate occupational roles and performance related to physical, psychosocial, and cognitive impairments. Teach adaptive techniques and equipment use, fabricate basic adaptive devices and hand splints, and document patient progress while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program with a Bachelor of Science, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current, active state Occupational Therapist license for South Carolina required prior to start.
- Minimum two years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in acute care or rehabilitation settings required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance required. Ability to travel locally between patient homes required.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the role including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, prolonged standing and walking.
- Experience with assessment and intervention for ADL/IADL, adaptive equipment, splinting, functional mobility, and home safety recommended.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in home health care environment preferred.
- Demonstrated competency with documentation of Plans of Care (POC), progress notes, and coordination with physicians and interdisciplinary team preferred.
Assignment Details
- Work schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet patient needs and occasional travel between client locations.
- Must be able to perform duties that include patient evaluations in the home, fabrication and maintenance of adaptive equipment, and basic equipment troubleshooting and cleaning.
