Meridian, Mississippi Hospitalist Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity
Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking the best Hospitalist Physicians for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Meridian, Mississippi providing inpatient hospital medicine for adult patients with day and night coverage. Closed ICU environment with EPIC documentation and round-robin admissions.
Opportunity Details
- Location: Meridian, Mississippi
- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
- Setting: Inpatient hospital medicine (adult patients) in a regional hospital
- Coverage: Ongoing
- Schedule Structure: Day and night shifts with physician and NP/PA coverage
Schedule Details
- Day shifts: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM or 8:00 AM–6:00 PM (2 physicians and 2 NPPAs per shift)
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM (1 physician and 1 NPPA per night)
- CCU coverage:
- Day: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM (1 physician and 1 NPPA)
- Night: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM (1 NPPA)
Clinical Scope
- Provide inpatient hospital medicine for adult patients
- Respond to codes and RRTs
- Coordinate admissions using a round-robin approach
- Supervise or serve as backup for NPs and PAs
- Document in EPIC
Practice Environment
- Regional hospital inpatient setting with a closed ICU
- EPIC electronic medical record
- Hospitalist service model with round robin admissions
- Codes and RRT response included
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Mississippi medical license
- DEA registration for the state of practice with a Mississippi address
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or (ABIM/ABFM) eligibility
- ACLS certification
- Completion of residency training in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine (with moonlighting approval as applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hospitalist or inpatient care environments
- Familiarity with EPIC documentation
