Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a Texas licensed Physician Assistant for a locum tenens opportunity in Abilene, Texas. You’ll support an outpatient occupational medicine and urgent care setting with a mix of scheduled and walk-in patients across all ages. This role also includes work-related injury evaluation and pre-placement physical examinations for varied private companies and governmental agencies.
Opportunity Details
- Location: Abilene, Texas
- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
- Setting: Outpatient Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care
- Coverage: Ongoing
- Schedule: Every Wednesday and PTO coverage as needed
Clinical Scope
- Diagnose and treat work-related injuries
- Perform pre-placement DOT, public safety, and surveillance physical examinations
- Evaluate and treat urgent care patients on a walk-in basis
- Perform in-office procedures, including suturing
- Communicate with employers and provide medical guidance
Requirements
- Current Texas Physician Assistant state license (unrestricted)
- Active DOT certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Practice Life Support)
- Ability to treat patients of all ages
- Suture capability
